AMW Reviews: Mary Kay Endless Performance Creme-to-Powder Foundation

So it's Tuesday today and I'm off for several meetings!  God is really good!  So before I go, I'll leave you with a review on my most recent foundation from Mary Kay!  If you have noticed on my previous "photo-torial", I used Mary Kay's newest Endless Performance Creme-to-Powder Foundation because the weather was really hot at that time so I've decided to use the least amount of makeup as possible and the Mary Kay one is cream-to-powder letting me skip a step or 2.  (Concealer and Powder).

After using this product several times, I'm ready to share my thoughts on this.  Please keep in mind that I got this as press sample so this is a "refill packaging" so if you purchase the compact itself, it won't look like this.

2 shades that was sent to me was Ivory 2 and Beige 1.

The shade Ivory1 I believe is the 'lightest' shade available and perfect for users with Cool undertone.  Beige2 on the other hand has more "warmth" so it's perfect for Warm undertone.  I obviously picked Beige2 because I knew in my heart it was the perfect shade for me.

And I'm right! :D

But I appreciate it that they thought about the possible "shade matching mistakes" so they sent me two just to make sure!  Let me know by commenting below if you have the same shade as Ivory1 and I'll send it to you if you left me a pretty nice comment! :D (nice and sincere okay?)

Mary Kay Endless Performance Creme-to-Powder Foundation says ---
Endless Performance™ Crème-to-Powder Foundation is your key to a long-lasting, flawless finish.
  • Stays true and appears fresh for 12 hours.*
  • Heat- and humidity-resistant.
  • Glides on as a lightweight cream to hide imperfections.
  • Evens out skin tone, then dries to a soft, powdery, matte finish.
  • Transfer-resistant. Won’t rub off or streak.
Key ingredients:

  • Mattifying Complex: This complex uses two powerful technologies to create a flawless matte finish. Special microspheres absorb moisture in the air to help reduce shine and provide a mattifying effect without drying skin. Then a high-grade powder, widely used because of its heat-resistant benefits, offers a smooth-looking, soft-focus complexion by bending lightwaves as they reach the skin’s surface.
  • Dry Emollient Technology: Creates a weightless barrier on the skin’s surface to help resist humidity, water, transfer, streaking and fading. It also helps enhance the binding properties of the pigments and powders, contributing to the long-wear coverage.
  • Soft-Touch Powders: The unique translucent powders in this formula blend with pigments so skin tones look perfected – not masked or caked. They allow your natural skin tone to come through while providing flawless coverage. Plus, the powders provide a luxurious glide for beautiful blendability while adhering to skin to extend wear and resist transfer.
  • Naturally Derived Mica: Because matte shouldn’t mean dull, the pigments are enriched with a fine-grade mica to deliver natural radiance with every shade.

Pros
  • The refill packaging is quite nice!  I like it because I can easily tote this around even if I carry a very small purse.
  • Easy to blend.
  • Coverage is build-able.
  • Finishes into powder so I can actually skip powder foundation application. (this is true for normal and dry skin users).
  • Has several shade options to choose from.
  • The effect is really natural.  No white cast if you picked the right shade.
  • This product does not enhance pores or wrinkles.
  • Oil-free, non-comedogenic, dermatologist-tested.  So far, sensitive skin users can use this!  (But have to do a patch test to make sure)
Cons
  • Won't last for 12 hours particularly in our crazy humid weather.
  • Maybe drying to users with extremely dry skin.
  • As always, since Mary Kay does not have a stall or store, you can't test the shades or product in person.
Neutral
  • Matte finish.
  • No SPF.  I don't mind this though because I always use a separate sunscreen.
Overall
An easy-to-blend cream foundation that finishes almost immediately into powder.  A foundation that is perfect for warm and humid weather.  Helps control oil for a couple of hours longer than regular foundation and it gives light to medium coverage.

Tips
  • Application can be done by using clean fingers, sponge for foundation brush.  I prefer the latter.
  • For combination skin, you may still need to set your foundation with your favorite oil-control powder on key areas that tend to oil up like the T-zone.
  • For dry skin users like me, do not forget to use proper moisturizer prior to application.  If your skin is dry and flaky to start with , this product will enhance the dryness.
  • If you have extremely oily skin, set this product with oil-control powder.
  • Application will always be going downward or at the same direction of the growth of your facial hair to prevent streaks.
  • For light coverage, apply using foundation brush or a wet Beauty Blender.  For medium to heavier coverage, apply using your fingers with patting motion or a dry sponge.
Will I repurchase?
This product isn't bad.  I actually like using this to spot conceal key areas that needed coverage.  SO yes!

To whom do I recommend this to?
For all over face, I would highly recommend this to users who have combination and oily skin.  But if you plan to use this as a concealer, this can be used for all skin types!

Where to purchase and how much?
Mary Kay True Dimension lipsticks are available through any Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultants by calling them at (632) 859-6211 for Php695.00 (approx $15.80) each.

Shade: Beige2 on Pan

Applied at the back of my hand.
As you can see, it almost looks invisible.
Does not enhance lines unless you have dry patches around your skin.

AMW Choice of Tool:
Foundation brush from Estee Lauder

Before and After
As you can see, my skin looks matte, even and seems like I set my foundation with powder but I did not!  The only concern is how this product "may enhance" dry flakes around the face if you have extremely dry skin.  Take a look at the skin on the side of my nose!  I didn't peel it off for you guys to see!

But overall, I am very happy with the Mary Kay Endless Performance Creme-To-Powder foundation.  I actually can get away using only this product and it sets beautifully in a matte finish on it's own.  I only need to skip application on dry areas around my face or add moisturizer before foundation application.

How do you feel about Mary Kay's newest foundation?
Do you think cream-to-powder foundation finish products are for you?

Keep smilin'
Stay happy!
