What woman doesn’t want gorgeous luscious lips every day of her life? And, well, doesn’t the beauty industry know this. What with lipsticks, lip stains, lip balm, lip glosses and too many other products to mention, it’s clear us girls are on the continual quest for the perfect pout.
But now the party season is on its way, we’re looking for something a little more out of the norm than the regular red lips we usually go for. So, we were more than a little excited to discover uber cool brand, Violent Lips.
About
Violent Lips offer something completely new in the beauty industry: temporary lip appliqués (or temporary lip tattoos as lots of girls are calling them). They’re fun, out there, and a little bit crazy so if you prefer to stick to nude shades of lipsticks or no lipstick at all, these temporary tattoos probably aren’t for you.
Violent Lips were created by Jeff Haddad and his daughters, Isabella and Sophia, and they offer a temporary tattoo that is FDA approved and can be used by vegans as the designs are tested on models not animals. What’s more, each pack of Violent Lips has three applications so they won’t just last one evening.
Styles
Bold, brash and brave – that’s generally what we think of the Violent Lips collection. Expect temporary tattoos with patterns like polka dots, funky fishnets and animal print to name a few. And there are stacks of amazing colors to choose from, too.
The Low-Down
Violent Lips temporary tattoos last for up to eight hours, and what’s more, they’re enhanced with vitamins so you know they’ll be giving your lips some love, too. They have a smooth feel and a glossy finish and they’re as easy as pie to apply. You’ll need a pair of scissors (to cut the appliqué to the right size for your lips), a mirror, cotton buds and some water to apply your tattoo – for full instructions and a video check out this link here.
The temporary tattoos are easy to remove just by using a textured wipe and either mineral or baby oil.
Our Favorites
We admit it, we’re a sucker for words – whether they’re on a tee, a pin badge, or (wait for it)…on your lips! The Violent Lips Word Collection offers a whole range of lip tattoos with a range of different words that - when applied – will stay put for up to eight hours on your bottom lip. We like the novel way of letting people know whether you’re available with the ‘single’ slogan lip tattoo, plus ‘hello’ and ‘shhh’ could also be helpful if you’d rather your lips do the talking as opposed to your mouth. Elsewhere, we’ve definitely fallen in love with the new Glitteratti Collection that’s just perfect for the party season. The range includes seven different super glittery temporary tattoos with colors like dazzling blue, hot pink, and the ultimate in bling – gold.
